A year full of firsts

So once again, Aubrey keeps me busy busy.  There has been A LOT since my last post and I am not even sure where to start.  All I know is that I am truly blessed to have such an amazing little girl.  She brings a smile to my face everyday and I am very lucky that I get to be with her everyday.  She is quite the "mini-me" and I love it.  So I will try and use some pictures to help me remember it all.

We took a trip out to Kansas City for my cousins wedding.  It was a 19 hour car ride and she did great!  I think all of us were more tired than she was.  We had lots of great adventures on the trip.  It was great to see family and friends. She got to meet her cousins and be around some kids her age.  She was a bit unsure of all the people and stuck pretty close to mommy a lot of the time.  We celebrated her birthday a month early with family.  We had a minnie and mickey mouse birthday party.  She loved all the decorations, the singing and the cake. We were there for a couple weeks but it went by way too fast.  Everywhere we went Aubrey would drop food and then say "dog?"  she wanted to know where the dog was to clean up the food. lol  She also took her first steps while we were there!  It was great for everyone to get to see it.  She got braver and braver and would walk across the room to me.  On the way home we decided to stop in indianapolis.  She was so excited to get out that she ran around the room like crazy.  After that trip, I didn't get her in the car for awhile lol

At the end of May Aubrey's godmother, Lexi, came to visit for a couple weeks and help celebrate her birthday.  We had a great time.  We celebrated her birthday.  We took her to the zoo, which she enjoyed.  She loves animals!  She got a pool for her birthday and loves the water.  I have taken her to the community pool as well and she enjoys it and does fine going underwater, as long as it is her idea.

Along with turning 1 she gave up her bottles on her own, started sleeping at night on her own and would even lay down for naps by herself!  She got her own room upstairs which has been great for both her and mommy.  She was 18llbs 5oz and 28.5inches at her 12 month check up.

Once she started taking steps, there was no stopping her.  Now she is into everything, but is good bout playing with her toys and entertaining herself.  She is now trying to run some, which has led to some bumps and bruises.

She has a little temper on her and likes to hit sometimes.  So she gets in trouble on a daily basis for that usually.  But if she can scream it out on her own she is usually ok.

She has just recently got two more teeth showing through.  But at the rate she has been teething she should have a mouthful.  That seems to make her cranky a lot of the time.  She has learned how yummy teddy grahams and goldfish  are and likes to try our food.

She loves to giggle, do the rumba with grandpa, run from mommy and read books. She has quite the collection of books and will bring you them if you ask her to get you a book. She has to have her morning cartoons otherwise she gets upset. She is trying to talk more and at times she says some new words.  She is good at answering you when you ask her a questions, which helps figuring out what she wants.  And she has already gone potty in the big potty! Only a couple of times and becaue she wanted to and told us she did.  So I am sure the next time I am on here I will be potty training her lol

So I have a happy healthy baby.  She is turning into such a big girl and I love seeing the twinkle in her eye when she does things.  She has a smile that is hard to get mad at and she is a complete goof.

She loves to take pictures of herself and with mommy!

She was all decked out in green for St. Patty's Day.  She got some pretty neat things too!  Every holiday seems to bring great toys for her.

Being a ham.  She loves her Grandpa and loves watching PTI and Sports Center with him in his chair.

Hoppy Easter!

Eating some of her goodies!
The test run of her birthday cake, turned out great!

She LOVES lemon cake.  I figured this out with some weight watchers snack cakes.  Everytime she took a bite she would smack her lips.  Needless to say not many crumbs made it on the floor.

She got a swing for Easter.  She loves it!  She just giggles and yells and is very upset when she has to get out.
She is pulling up to everything!  She can stand very steady on her feet and can squat down to pick things up on her own.
Making a call on the road to Kansas City.  We took a 19 hour trip out there for my cousins wedding.  She was a trooper and made it there non stop!

At the wedding!

We celebrated her birthday with family.

She got her own cake to dig in to.  She had it everywhere!

A day at the zoo!
She loved getting close to the animals

She loves the pool!
